I took these shots of individual handpainted glass panels at the La Fonda Inn's La Plazuela Restaurant in downtown Santa Fe (with permission from La Fonda personnel). The idea was conceptualized by architect Mary Jane Colter, who was then employed by the tourist-oriented Fred Harvey Co. in the early 1900s. The artworks are creations of Ernest Martinez, the resident artist of La Fonda. Interior Designer, painter, and sculptor Jeanne Crandall, incorporated the idea of using these handpaintings in the hotel's bathrooms.
