LAS VEGAS & HENDERSON
SOUTHERN NEVADA
26 April 2008

On the 2nd day, we made a quick trip to the newly opened Town Square Mall in Las Vegas, right across from the McCarran Airport. It is a new open-air mall featuring high end shops, stunning Italian architecture, pleasant walkways, great restaurants, and a village-like atmosphere. Town Square is not like any other shopping center in Las Vegas. People who have been to Santana Row in San Jose, California, or the Grove in Los Angeles think that the Town Square Mall is of a similar caliber.

We made a quick dash to the Premium Outlet in Las Vegas then had a late lunch at DJ's Bibingkahan on Maryland Parkway, since some of us were craving halo-halo. <burp>

On our way home, we stopped by the famous sign "WELCOME TO FABULOUS LAS VEGAS" to take some souvenir photos, right along Las Vegas Blvd. near Mandalay Bay. Notice the shot of Jojo & Maribet posing by the stretch SUV limo? That was our service limo that took us around town. =)

When we got home, Rosie, Phil, and Chip were waiting for us in our front patio, seating so nicely under the tree. More tili-an blues. Maribet, Lui, and Rosie had detox sessions. Racma, Patsy, & Rosie now have their own detox machines.

Rosie & Phil left to watch Cirque du Soleil's "Love" at Mirage Hotel while the rest of us ladies got all dolled up to watch Cirque du Soleil's "La Reve" at the Wynn Hotel. Jessie & Rick gambled and then met up with us ladies at the end of the show. I think we all enjoyed the show.

We then toured the Wynn Hotel, then moved on to the newly opened Palazzo Hotel. We checked out Jay-Z's newly opened 40-40 Club at the Palazzo Hotel. Jay-Z is Beyonce's business mogul husband. The Club was named after players who hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases throughout the duration of a single season. Only Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998), Jose Canseco (1988) and the newest fourth member, Alfonso Soriano (2006) can call The 40/40 Club home. In honor of their achievements the four jerseys grace an area of the lounge in honor of their great accomplishment. We were given a free tour of the Club, as you will see in the photos.

We toured the rest of the Palazzo Hotel. More picture taking. You will notice a two-story tall statue of 3 women made of Lalique crystal.

Babes, Rick, Racma, & Jessie went to In & Out Burger for a late snack, then proceeded to Green Valley Ranch Casino to try their luck, before heading home.

Meanwhile, Aida, Maribet, Jojo, Patsy, Lui, and myself stayed behind at the Palazzo Hotel & had a snack of gelato, then toured the Venetian Hotel, and walked around the Strip. The weather was perfect. It was comfortably cool. Spring and Fall are fabulous seasons to be in Las Vegas.

We got home after 2:00am. Made more cuentos, and had snacks before hitting the sack.

Check out the photos below that were taken on the 2nd day of our get together.
